The Granada Science Parc covers a large area and a lot of subjects.

In front of the entrancehall is a first piece of science shown : this very heavy rock is floating on just a small stream of water.

In the entrancehall Mr T-Rex welcomed me.

To prevent this blog from getting very large I have created pictureshows that show several items per subject. The shows speak for themselfs and don't need much text.

Foucault's pendulums that make clear the earth is turning. How ? They move (pendule) in a straight line but the earth (the floor) underneath them is turning.

Unfortunately I didn't find this Science Parc that interesting. That is partly my own problem since I have a lot of interest in science and technic, which is why I "have seem it all" many times already.

Besides that the parc has some principle problems :

- To my opinion several exhibitions (subjects) have little to do with science.
- There are several types of tickets available and the info concerning that is quite confusing.
- There is only one overviewmap of the (total) area available, and that is at the ticketoffice. So be clever and take a picture of it (which I didn't since I had not expected that).
- There is hardly any guidance, no routes are signed anywhere, in whatever way. You maybe come along an exit-sign of some hall, but don't see an entrance-sign anywhere.
- The walls in many halls are darkbrown so they hinder a good look at items.
- There is some old stuff used, like i.e. 10 glasstube computermonitors.
- There is an "accident" exhibition but it is so dark in there that it is dangerous to walk there ...
- What do birds of prey, butterflies and waterlilies have to do with science (this way).
- Somehow and somewhere films can be watch in a cinema-hall on large screen. Which makes you have to plan your visit around the film you choose (payed for). Then your ticket is only valid for that one film at that one specific time of day.

All in all I decided to just walk around and see what I would engage. But I almost missed the complete outdoor-part, there is no information that it is there. Not even when you are standing in front of the outdoor-door that leads to it.

However and Unfortunately I once more, so for the second time, had to little time to visit the Alhambra. It seems to be very popular and it seems that you have to reserve your ticket online. Calendaroptions are limited and it is unclear to me if one can buy tickets locally anyhow. I guess so, however ...

I finished my second day in Granada by having a nice menu del dia (at a chinese restaurant) and criss-crossed the Centro a last time. This time I found the busstation without problems.

After the return to my hotel I went to the reception to extend my stay since I really wanted to visit the Alhambra. But to my bad surprise the price for my room would be a whopping € 80 for the saturdaynight. I offered € 50 plus the regular € 30,50 for the night after. They refused, and since that was the max I was willing to pay I left the saturdaymorning. So sorry, but no Alhambra here ...

I will cycle further east and had planned to do wildcamping along the Embalse del Cubillas (a big lake) that I would pass only a few kilometers after the start. It has been a very long time ago (Cordoba, october 2022) 🖱️ that I was camping close to nice aqua !
